45rpm Review
at Too Many Colors

This probably hasn't happened to you, but it has to me, and it really bugs me: a friend tells you about this great 45, so you go down to the record shop to buy it. You flip all the way through the damn cardboard box, and come up empty. Why? Because, although you knew the title, you didn't know what it looked like. Let's face it, when you're looking at 45s, you look at the pretty pictures.

45rpm Review rectifies the problem. Now you know what the cool 45s look like, so picking them out should be no problem.

NOFX

Liza and Louise

by Erik Swedlund

I always liked the song "Liza and Louise" off the album White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean (original title White Trash, Two Kikes, and a Spic), so I guess I like it here. There's no special joy, though, in owning a single off an album you already have. Unless you're really obsessive.

The real gem of this 45 is the flip side, "The Fastest Longest Line with El Hefe trying to sing like Fat Mike." "The Longest Line," the title song of another NOFX EP, has always been my fave NOFX song, and they give it the treatment it deserves here with a super-fast send-up. El Hefe's impression of Fat Mike is well worth the $3.99 I spent on it, especially the drawn-out wail at the end.

BONUS: Pink vinyl!
